Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Vanuatu NDMO Logistics Dashboard (the "Service"), a web application operated by the Vanuatu National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) and made available to authorized users for humanitarian logistics coordination.
1. Authorized use
The Service is provided exclusively for individuals and organizations authorized by the NDMO to participate in disaster preparedness and response logistics in Vanuatu. By accessing the Service you confirm that:
- You are an authorized user, or have been granted access by a responsible NDMO officer;
- You will use the Service solely for its intended humanitarian and operational purposes;
- You will not attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with, or disrupt the Service.
2. Accounts and authentication
Access requires sign-in with a Google account. The Service identifies you using the basic profile information provided by Google (your name and email address) and is restricted to predefined users. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your Google credentials secure.
3. Data you provide
Information you enter into the Service — such as stock records, requests, and approvals — is operational data used to coordinate logistics. You agree to provide accurate information and to handle any personal data of third parties (for example, contact details of field staff) in line with applicable privacy obligations.
4. Permissions and scope
The Service requests only the minimum permissions required to operate:
- Read of your Google basic profile (name and email) for identification;
- Access limited to the single project spreadsheet created and owned by the NDMO.
The Service does not request access to your personal Google Drive, Gmail, or any other files. Details are described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose;
- Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the security of the Service;
- Reproduce, resell, or redistribute the Service without authorization;
- Share your access credentials or facilitate access by unauthorized persons.
6. Availability and changes
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis in support of humanitarian operations. The NDMO may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
7. Termination
The NDMO may revoke access at any time, including where use violates these Terms or operational security requirements. Upon revocation, your ability to access the Service will cease.
8. Disclaimer of warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The NDMO does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the NDMO and its partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Operational decisions remain the responsibility of authorized users and their organizations.
10. Governing context
This Service supports the mandate of the Vanuatu NDMO. References to law and obligations should be read in the context of Vanuatu's legal and institutional framework for disaster management.
